Have you lost the title to your Mobile Home?

There are a lot of mobile homes or trailers in Arizona where people have lost their titles because they have changed hands many times. (This holds true for vehicles as well.)

If they can’t find the original owner to get a duplicate title with their ID, then they can apply for a Bonded Title Affidavit with step by step instructions.

Some of the steps are:

  1. Verify if the vehicle or mobile home is stolen or not.
  2. A physical inspection is required and a Bonded Title Affidavit needs to be filled out.
  3. A Motor Vehicle Record needs to be taken to contact any past owners or lien-holders via certified mail.

It sounds difficult, but it can be done. Once the initial steps are taken and a bond amount is set by MVD, then the individual takes the bond amount paperwork to an insurance company for the bond. For a fee we can do the process for you.

Prompt Titles helps company get their registrations straight

truck

An Arizona fence company with several locations throughout the state, had their trucks registered some to the headquarters, some to the individual locations and some even to the owners! They needed all of them registered in the main company name and with the headquarters’ address. And the registrations all renewed at the same time!

The folks at Prompt Titles easily helped them out.

If your Phoenix-based business has several company cars or trucks with different registrations and you’d like to consolidate them, contact Prompt Titles & Registrations.

Prompt Titles helps Pink Heals get ready for tour

Have you ever seen a pink firetruck? You might soon.

Pink Heals Fire TrucksPink Heals Fire Truck

Pink Heals – Guardians of the Ribbon is a non-profit organization based in Phoenix, AZ whose mission is men supporting women in the fight against cancer. Retired Glendale, AZ Firefighter, Dave Graybill, started Pink Heals in 2007. Each year they take their pink fire trucks and police cars on a national tour to “spread our awareness campaign supporting all women in their fight against cancer.”

They contacted Prompt Title & Registrations because their vehicles are donated from all over the country and they must be registered in the State of Arizona.

When asked why he contacted Prompt Titles, Dave said,

Two reasons. One, I hate standing in line and I believe in developing trust with business and organization I deal with.

Prompt Titles sent Customer Service Rep, Patrick Tellez to their location to do the required Level 1 inspection on 2 vehicles and a trailer. The basic inspection matches the vehicle identification number (VIN) to the ownership documents to determine the identity of the vehicle.  Then the vehicle can be registered in Arizona.

Pink Heals’ 2012 national tour begins July 28. For more information visit their site:
Pink Fire Trucks or their Facebook Page.

Proper tire inflation is key to savings & safety

Tire manufacturers have recommendations on tire psi pressure and its relation to auto manufacturers’ weight and load specifications.

Most vehicles are not equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system or a tire pressure sensor and therefore manual tire pressure monitoring is left up to the vehicle owner or local service provider.  Checking your tire psi pressure is easy to do with a tire pressure gauge – like the one pictured which is available Free from Prompt Titles & Registrations in Phoenix when you come in to register your vehicle or transfer a title. (while quantities last).

Tire pressure can affect the way your tires wear in a number of ways.

  1. Tire pressure may help detect any early leak.
  2. An under-inflated tire may cause your vehicle to pull one way or another affecting both steering and cornering.
  3. An under-inflated tire can affect fuel efficiency.
  4. Tire pressure is a safety issue.  Not keeping your car’s tires at the proper pressure can result in loss of control of the vehicle or a blow out at the worst possible time.

Taking a few minutes to check your tire pressure will save you a lot of money. Had I done that, a couple of months ago, I would have saved myself $200. My neighbor noticed the tire was low and I rode on it a little too long – long enough to totally destroy it! Even putting air in it at that point would have been useless – it was too far gone. I had to replace it and the other front tire since they need to be balanced. The rear tires are fine. Lesson learned. I got one of the neat tire gauges from Prompt Tittles & Registrations!

Correct tire pressure your car’s tires is printed on the outside of the tire and in the frame of the driver’s door.

How to check the tire pressure with a gauge

  1. Do it when the tires are cool.
  2. Remove the plastic valve capon the tire.
  3. Press the gauge firmly onto the valve stem.
  4. Be sure that you press the gauge onto the stem hard enough.
  5. You should hear a small bit of air escape as you do this.
  6. Record the pressure listed on the gauge and make sure it matches the manufacturer’s specifications.

Check out the AZ Centennial Plate!

On Feb. 14, 2012, Arizona marked its 100th birthday and to celebrate it, issued the Centennial License Plate.

You can get yours at either of the Prompt Titles and Registrations locations.

Can I personalize my special license plate?

Yes, the license plate is available both as a non-personalized and as a personalized plate where you choose the letter/number combination that will appear on your plate. The maximum number of characters allowed for a personalized (letters and/or numbers) license plate is seven. Plates with the disability symbol are limited to six characters. We’ll need to check the availability of your personalized plate idea online at before placing your order. All personalized plate choices must be approved by ADOT.

How much does it cost?

The cost of the license plate is $25 for the initial application fee and $25 per annual renewal. Personalized plates have an additional $25 fee (for a total of $50 annually).

When is my annual license plate renewal fee due?

Your license plate renewal fee is due each year at the same time as your vehicle registration. A special plate can be ordered at any time with the initial fees due at the time of ordering. The annual fee would be due at the regular time of renewal. If your registration expires within the next three months, you have the option to renew your registration early before submitting the license plate application in order to avoid the first annual renewal special plate fee.

Your vehicle must be registered in the State of Arizona to obtain a specialty tag. It can also be purchased as a gift as long as the vehicle is registered in AZ.  The centennial tag is not available for motorcycles or golf carts.
